Atlantique

Atlantique is located on the narrowest section of Fire Island, with protected uninhabited federal land to the east and a large public marina operated by the Town of Islip to the west. Atlantique is the home of a tightly knit community that boasts more than 50 homes. The sandy midway section of Atlantique, commonly known as the Burma Road, is unpaved, making this section of Fire Island challenging to hikers and bikers. At the Atlantique Marina, however, weary travelers can grab a bite and a drink at the tiny and cheerful Shack, Atlantique's only bar/restaurant and store.
