Davis Park
Davis Park, a laid back, family friendly community of 270 homes, is the easternmost Fire Island community and a short walk to the Watch Hill National Seashore and campgrounds. Its small town center features the Harbor Store and Grill, a Post Office, Police Station and volunteer Fire Department, and the Casino Café and Casino Bar, with great oceanfront dining and dancing. Davis Park has a lifeguarded ADA accessible public beach, which is enjoyed by homeowners, renters, boaters from the Town of Brookhaven Marina, and day-trippers alike. Unlike many other communities, bikes, scooters and skates are not allowed on the boardwalks. The Davis Park Medical Association provides medical care at housing it makes available for doctors and nurse practitioners who volunteer their services to the community. The Davis Park Association, in conjunction with the DP Volunteer Fire Department, Friends of Davis Park and CRAB, its Community Recreation, Arts & Beautification group, throw a great July 4th parade and hold plant sales, raffles, swap meets, movie nights, and other community events, including a popular Arts & Crafts Fair on Labor Day Weekend. Our Catholic Church provides sanctuary and hosts many community and interdenominational events. Ferries run to Davis Park from Patchogue.
